A Little About Me
Hi, I’m Sam! I’m so happy to talk birth with you! I’m a registered nurse (RN), doula, and certified birth assistant. I didn’t realize my deep passion for birth until a clinical rotation on the labor and delivery floor during nursing school—women can do amazing things! From that moment on, I knew I was meant to serve women in the world of birth.
I love every phase of the birthing journey—pregnancy, labor, birth, and postpartum. Each stage is incredibly beautiful, and I want women to experience them in the most positive and empowering way possible. As a nurse, I’ve worked in several areas of medicine, including an OB/GYN clinic and Mom & Baby in the hospital. These experiences have given me a strong foundation that I now bring into my work as both a birth doula and a postpartum doula.
Experiencing pregnancy and birth myself only deepened my love for the spiritual and sacred nature of birth. I’m devoted to helping women feel the special connection to God that often emerges during this season of life. And yes—I still cry at every birth!
My husband and I have two children—a boy and a girl. Our son was born in a hospital natural birth suite, and the experience was truly transformative. With the support of an incredible doula, I felt empowered and in awe of the innate wisdom of the birthing process. For our second birth, we chose to welcome our daughter at home, and I deeply appreciated the sense of peace and intimacy that experience offered.
No matter where you choose to give birth, I support you wholeheartedly. I strongly believe in trusting your instincts and choosing a birth environment where you feel safest, most comfortable, and most at peace.
